After building electric cars and trucks and transforming space exploration, billionaire tycoon Elon Musk has set his eyes on a vertical lift electric plane. He said he is “dying” to build an electric supersonic jet that will use vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) technology. With Musk, who is known for making unconventional decisions that initially seem ludicrous, this shouldn’t be surprising. He revealed his desire to enter or disrupt the aircraft industry in response to entrepreneur-writer Peter H. Diamandis, who had asked his followers what they wanted the Tesla and SpaceX CEOs to “deal” with next.
When Musk first talked about electric cars, Many were not convinced of their viabilityMainly due to technical and commercial challenges. Then Tesla happened. He also helmed space exploration with SpaceX, building reusable rockets.
“Elon Musk It has played a big role in changing payments, space exploration, the adoption of cars and green energy. Which industry do you want him to tackle next? My choice is aviation… what’s yours?” said Diamandis, founder of the XPRIZE Foundation.
Although Musk responded with his electric plane pitch, he also said that adding more work would “explode my mind”, using emoji for the last two words.
I’ve been dying to do a supersonic, electric VOTL jet, but adding more work is my ???? ????

In addition to leading multi-billion firms, Tesla and SpaceX, Musk has co-founded startup Neuralink, which is developing implantable brain-machine interfaces, and a tunneling venture, The Boring Company. He is also the co-founder of the artificial intelligence research laboratory OpenAI. In addition, he often brings attention to issues related to the crypto industry through his Twitter account. With SpaceX, Musk has said he wants to colonize Mars and make humans a “multiplanetary” species.
This isn’t the first time Musk has expressed his interest in electric planes. He made a similar statement in July as well.
I am so dying to do supersonic vtol electric jet! But I already have a lot on my plate. Any more work and my mind will explode.

Earlier in 2018, on Joe Rogan’s podcast, Musk said That he has great ideas on how to build an electric VTOL.
