Tesla Car Owner Wants Way Out of Loud and Annoying Autopilot, Full Self-Driving Chimes

Autopilot and full self-driving are features that Tesla showcases in its cars. When enabled, they control the vehicle’s navigation and speed and help hold the lane safely. They also help the vehicle to negotiate turns with ease. Despite these remarkable capabilities, a Tesla owner has shared an interesting post, detailing what he dislikes about the features, on a community discussion forum. What has annoyed him is the autopilot activation and deactivation chime. He says too loudly to his ears.

The Tesla owner of Atlanta was so dismayed by the chime that he started a thread in all caps on the stage, interestingly titled “serenity Now”. He bluntly said, “The bottom line is that the autopilot activation and deactivation chimes are just plain annoying and over the top. These are wonderful vehicles, but they’re just as annoying as my morning alarm clock, just my nappy wife.” Ask on a road trip.”

Tesla Offers full self-driving (FSD) features as an add-on for $10,000. It helps the car change lanes, exit and interchange highways, and stop at stop signs and traffic lights. Each time, the system is enabled or disabled, an audible chime informs the driver of its current status. There are also visual cues. The Tesla owner said that the Autopilot disabled chime should at least be turned off and turned off when the visual cues are enabled. He also had a few other suggestions – like only giving a visual cues when reactivating the autopilot within 30 seconds. “The driver clearly knows that the AP has been relegated. Just do it, don’t tell me about it,” he said.

“Elon (Musk), you’re about to remove all the manual steps, here’s an easy one,” the Tesla owner said, referring to the company’s CEO and billionaire tech tycoon.

Responding to the post, one user suggested he could try “Joe Mode,” a feature that allows drivers to reduce the volume of alerts and prompts when a Tesla vehicle is in motion. . But the other said “Joe mode doesn’t turn down the volume enough”. The user said that he wholeheartedly agrees with the original post.
