Fate then says: “Jabba ruled out of fear. I intend to reign with honour,” while we watch him stand guard against enemies, and then take off his helmet elsewhere in a moment of reflection.

“You were all captains of Jabba the Hut once,” Shand says at a meeting at Jabba’s palace. Fett says: “I am here to make a proposal that is mutually beneficial. Why talk of conflict when cooperation can make us all richer.” The Book of Boba Fett trailer gives us a glimpse of the action sequences, alien species we’ve seen before star wars, before hooking up to a couple of Tweelex — tentacle-like tendrils called lekku where you’d expect ears — one of which appears to be key to Boba Fett’s book.

Speaking of Fate, one of the aliens at the meeting asks: “What stops all of us from killing you and getting what we want?” The Book of Boba Fett trailer gives us more action in the meantime, featuring Fett and Shand up against shielded adversaries. The trailer then ends with Boba Fett on the throne in the main room of the castle, and Shand talking to some aliens who have come with a request: “If you had spoken to Jabba with such disrespect, He would feed you his menagerie.” But Fate is trying to be a different ruler, as he tells them to speak freely.
