Instagram is getting a new feature that allows users to embed miniature versions of their profiles on websites. With the latest profile embed functionality, users can display their Instagram content on third-party sites or link to someone else’s profile. Along with profile embeds, the social media company has also highlighted the recently launched playback feature for Instagram Stories and Reels Visual Reply. With the playback feature, users can create a collection of up to 10 stories by the end of the year to share with their followers. Reel Visual Reply lets you reply to comments with reel videos up to 60 seconds long.
instagram Head Adam Mosseri on Friday announced Rollout of profile embed functionality via a video on Twitter. “You’ve been able to embed an Instagram photo or Instagram video into a website for many years now. It expands on that idea and allows you to embed a miniature version of your Instagram profile on a website,” Mosseri said .
Through profile embed, people will get a glimpse on particular Instagram handle. The latest feature is only available in the US for now. It will help Instagram makers, brands and businesses to highlight their Instagram profile on third-party websites. The company is yet to share any details about the global rollout of the Profile Embed feature.
In the video, Mosseri also talks about two more new features that were announced by the photo-sharing platform earlier this week. As mentioned, Instagram playback The feature allows you to replay a curated selection of your own stories shared throughout the year. This feature brings you a recap of 10 favorite user-posted stories in 2021.
Reels Visual Reply is another feature, which lets you reply to a comment with up to 60 seconds of reel video. Mosseri recommends that Instagram creators use the feature to engage with and grow their number of followers. You can see the view reply option when posting a reply to a comment. You can select it to make a video reply and the comment will appear as a sticker.
