The iQoo 9 series, the new smartphone lineup from the Vivo sub-brand, is all set to go official on January 5 next year. The upcoming iQoo series is said to include the vanilla iQoo 9 model along with the iQoo 9 Pro. Ahead of the formal launch, the handsets have been spotted on the Geekbench benchmarking website, hinting at their key specifications. The upcoming iQoo 9 series phones are expected to be powered by the recently announced Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC. iQoo 9 and iQoo 9 Pro can also run on Android 12.

On the other hand, iQoo 9 Pro, poked out With model number V2172A on the benchmarking site. It scored 1,277 marks and 3,787 in single and multi-core tests respectively. The listing suggests that the iQoo 9 and iQoo 9 Pro will have 12GB of RAM. According to the Geekbench listing, both the phones will run Android 12 as well.
According to the listing, the chipset codenamed ‘Taro’ will power the iQoo 9 series. It features a prime CPU core with a maximum clock speed of 3.0GHz, three cores capped at 2.50GHz, and four cores capped at 1.79GHz. All these indicate the presence of Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset on the iQoo 9 series handset.
