Realme TechLife Handheld Cordless Vacuum Cleaner Review: Easy Cleaning on a Budget

Handheld vacuum cleaners aren’t quite as glamorous and attention-grabbing as their robotic counterparts, but they can be beneficial for a self-proclaimed cleaning enthusiast like me. There are plenty of options in this segment to grab attention, from traditional brands like Eureka Forbes to modern, tech-focused ones like Dyson. What’s been missing in this space so far is an affordable cordless device that really stands out, and Realme hopes to fill that gap with its new handheld cordless vacuum cleaner.

Price Rupee. 7,999, The realme techlife handheld cordless vacuum cleaner Convenient, easy, and cord-free vacuum cleaning promises to match what you might see on Dyson, but at a significantly more affordable price. Is this product really revolutionary for the segment, and how well does it clean? Find out in this review.

Realme TechLife Handheld Cordless Vacuum Cleaner Design and Features

While the Realme TechLife Handheld Cordless Vacuum Cleaner has a style of its own, it is fair to say that it is heavily inspired by the Dyson V-series of vacuum cleaners. The handle is on the back of the device, with the suction motor and dustbin right in front of it, and the controls and top side. Unlike the Dyson V-series, the Realme Vacuum Cleaner doesn’t have a trigger to control the power; Instead, a slider switch lets you choose between normal and high power modes.

There are indicator lights for battery level on the top, and a button on the side to remove the trash for easy cleaning. A simple mechanical button on the bottom opens the lid of the trash can so it can be quickly emptied without removing the entire component. I found this button a little easier to press, and on a few occasions it was accidentally pressed, leaving a mess on the floor that I had to vacuum again.

The pipe end allows attachment to any of the included fittings and vacuum heads for specific cleaning tasks. The main vacuum fitting draws power from the device to spin its rollers. The charging socket is near the bottom, and the included charger can be connected directly every time or used with a wall-mounted dock accessory for easy charging.

The Realme TechLife Handheld Vacuum Cleaner weighs around 2.4Kg, and despite the handle being behind, the weight is evenly distributed making it easy to use. The device has a rated suction power of 9.5KPa and a single cyclone suction motor that spins up to 10,500rpm. There is also a HEPA filter, and some of the key components can be separated and washed with water.

While the high-end cordless vacuum cleaner has multiple fittings for specific cleaning tasks, the Realme TechLife Handheld Cordless Vacuum Cleaner comes with just four accessories. These are an extension pipe for easy-to-reach floors as well as hard-to-reach heights, an auto-rotating roller brush, two-in-one brush fittings, and a crevice tool for narrow areas.

The roller brush is the largest and most important fitting, and is used for cleaning floors. The soft roller spins rapidly to remove and collect dirt, and has enough flexibility to allow you to move the brush head across the floor quickly. The roller brush spins at up to 2,200rpm and when closed it can be opened for cleaning or washing.

The two-in-one brush has bristles that are useful for cleaning tables and countertops. You can push the brush up and out, and just use the standard opening as well. The crevice tool has a narrow opening that can be used to clean small gaps in between sofa or car seat cushions. All fittings can be mounted directly to the vacuum cleaner or to the extension pipe, which is itself connected to the main unit.

realme techlife handheld cordless vacuum cleaner performance and battery life

The design of the Realme TechLife Handheld Cordless Vacuum Cleaner is similar to that of the more expensive Dyson V-series devices, but its performance is quite different. While I was pleased with the cleaning capabilities of this machine for the price, it’s important to note that it’s an affordable option and doesn’t compete with high-end vacuum cleaners when it comes to the overall experience.

The Realme TechLife Vacuum Cleaner Isn’t That Powerful Dyson Omni-Glide – The most affordable handheld vacuum cleaner in the Dyson range in India – considering that it has just one Cyclone motor and a maximum spin rate of 10,500rpm. He said, for Rs. 7,999, the Realme TechLife Handheld Cordless Vacuum Cleaner is a capable tool for cleaning floors, and has also held its own for furniture like countertops and sofas.

It’s powerful enough to pick up dust and tiny particles of dirt and garbage, and even the occasional scrap paper or small food scraps. I also had a great experience when cleaning my car a couple of times, with the tool effectively sucking up dirt, leaves, and small pebbles from my car seats and cabin floor. However I often need to run the vacuum cleaner over the same area a few times to pick up everything.

Big messes, such as large food spills or large pieces of scrap paper, won’t lift easily, or are stuck in the roller that I’ll need to clean it up later. So I had to resort to more traditional methods like using a broom or brush to remove serious dirt, whereas the Reality Vacuum Cleaner was only suitable for dust accumulation and similar everyday cleaning. The large floor cleaning fitting is reasonably movable and moves quickly, but not quite as flexible or easy to use as the excellent omni-directional roller head on the Dyson Omni-Glide.

The Realme TechLife Handheld Cordless Vacuum Cleaner has two power modes: Normal and High. Normal mode is pretty basic in terms of suction power, and just enough to pick up light dust particles from the floor. It took me a few sweeps to really feel like my floors were clean. The High Power mode is significantly more effective, and works well for everyday household cleaning as well as some complex cleaning tasks.

Normal mode isn’t too loud, a slight humming won’t bother you or anyone around you too much. The High mode, which you’ll most likely be used to, is a bit louder, but not more than you’d expect from any handheld vacuum cleaner like this.

The battery life of the Realme TechLife Handheld Cordless Vacuum Cleaner is pretty decent considering the price and form factor. The device is powered by a 2,200mAh battery. In my experience, it lasted around 35-40 minutes in normal power mode and about 20 minutes in high power mode. It’s not a lot, but you can clean a compact house in one charge even with High Power mode always on, and it’s certainly good enough for quick jobs or different rooms at a time.

Realme is getting very creative in its products segment, and taking on the handheld cordless vacuum cleaner segment is an interesting path for the company. This is a segment that largely lacks enthusiasm, but with the entry of Realme, it is a segment that is expected to grow exponentially going forward. The Realme TechLife Handheld Cordless Vacuum Cleaner is an interesting product for the price and has the benefits of good design and ease of use, even if it’s not as powerful as one might have hoped.

That said, it’s capable enough for regular everyday cleaning, has acceptable battery life, and comes with fittings that give it ample versatility and flexibility. If your budget is limited and you don’t live in a particularly dusty area, or perhaps you have a good budget, I recommend it. robot vacuum cleaner To help take the slack. If you can stretch your budget, though, Dyson Omni-Glide There is a far more powerful and capable tool that should be worth the extra investment.
