Snap Unveils Story Studio, a New Standalone Video Editing App for iPhone Users

Snapchat’s parent company Snap has unveiled a brand new app called Story Studio. The standalone video editing app is currently available for iOS users and will allow creators using iPhone to create vertical videos to share across platforms. Using Story Studio, layers and captions can be added to videos. In addition, edited videos can be exported directly to Snapchat for sharing on Story or Spotlight. They can also be downloaded and shared through other channels. Currently, Story Studio is available in select regions.

The Story Studio app comes with editing tools that can be used for frame-accurate trimming. It allows adding captions, stickers and layers to videos. Users can also choose suitable songs and audio clips for their videos from the app. Additionally, with the Story Studio app, iPhone users can try out the latest viral Snapchat As well as the lens.

It will let you add visual effects using an AR lens that transforms faces, bodies and scenes as a whole. As mentioned, with the app, the Snapchat sound library that includes a list of licensed tracks and user-generated audio will be available to all users.

Snap notes that people can work on multiple projects at once with the Story Studio app. It has an auto-save feature that lets users revisit and edit past projects. Once editing is done, it can be shared directly to Snapchat from the Story Studio app. Also, the video can be downloaded and posted on other permitted platforms. Different TIC TocEdited videos will not be watermarked.

Story Studio is now available as a free download for iOS users in select regions. The app requires an iPhone with A12 or later processor and iOS v14.7 or newer. However, there is no word on whether it will launch on Android or not.
